Dark Desires (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thedarkdesires.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website.
Information We Collect
Automatically collected: When you visit, our web host’s server logs record your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running. With analytics on, Google Analytics also records which pages you read and for how long, your browser and device type, your approximate location (city level) and the page that sent you here. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses, and it never tells us who you are.
Voluntarily provided: If you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve our website
- To analyze site usage and optimize content
- To respond to your inquiries
- To send newsletters if you have subscribed
Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our website. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_FXXFT3LCNW) that hold a random ID, so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. We store your analytics choice in a cookie called dd_consent. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask first; until you say yes, Google Analytics sets no cookies and receives only a cookieless signal that a page was viewed. Everyone else is counted unless they switch it off. You can change your choice at any time under Privacy choices at the foot of every page, or set your browser to refuse cookies.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics to measure readership, with its advertising features switched off. We show no ads and sell nothing about you. Cloudflare delivers the site and runs the spam check on our forms, Akismet filters comment spam, and our newsletter is sent through Resend. Each has its own privacy policy.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact us through our contact page.
Age Restriction
This website contains adult content and is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please leave this site immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
